Joy and I were about the same age. While waiting for our medical check-up, we chatted and I found out she was a police officer and from the same church as I was. What were the odds? We exchanged numbers and agreed to arrange to start our training on the same day. We were both glad we would have company for the duration of the training. It felt God-sent.
A week later, I received a call from the airline to inform me that I had cleared the medical. I handed in my resignation at the gym and a month later, started cabin crew training.
